Formations had a delivery truck break down a few weeks ago. After a brief look at the truck it was obvious that the engine had failed as a connecting rod had come through the side of the engine block on the International VT365. The 4200 series International was towed to the shop and a new long block was ordered for the unit. After removing the hood and coolers from the truck the engine was pulled out using the cobra 5500 crane on the service truck. Then the accessories, intake and fuel system components where removed and installed onto the new international 365 long block along with the turbo and exhaust manifold. After installing the new engine into the unit, bolting up the Allison transmission and refitting the coolers and hood, the flatbed delivery truck was put back to work, delivering product for all of Formations important customers.
